In order to draw a picture, parameters must be set and selections must be made. All parameters and selections have default values which are used to draw proper pictures when Atlantis is started.
However, you probably want more!
The following list gives an overview of parameters and selections and where they may be changed:
Canvas pad
The place where a picture is drawn. Selection of a canvas pad (see 3.2.1 Canvas Pads) and manipulation of the picture in a canvas pad (e.g. copying into another canvas pad) are done via the canvas control (see 3.1.2 Canvas Control) of the Control Window.
A canvas pad is a subview of the Canvas (see 3.2 Canvas).
Interaction
The type of interaction (e.g. zooming, picking) (see Chapter 4, Interactions) to manipulate the picture that will be drawn, is selected and controlled via the interaction control (see 3.1.3 Interaction Control) of the Control Window.
Projection
The projection (see Chapter 5, Projections) used to create the picture for the canvas pad. A projection is selected via the Proj tab of the parameter control (see 3.1.4 Parameter Control) of the Control Window. Specific projection parameters of the selected projection are displayed in the parameter control of the Control Display and can be modified now.
Data
The data to be used can be selected via the Data tab of the parameter control (see 3.1.4 Parameter Control) of the Control Window. See 6.3 Data Selection for a list of data types.
Cuts
Cuts (see 6.4 Cuts) on physical values of the selected data can be set via the Cuts tab of the parameter control (see 3.1.4 Parameter Control) of the Control Window.
Detector colors
Detector colors (see 7.6 Detector Colors (Det)) can be set via the Det tab of the parameter control (see 3.1.4 Parameter Control) of the Control Window.
Data colors and symbols
Colors and symbols of the detector subsystem data can be set via the InDet, Calo and MuonDet tabs of the parameter control (see 3.1.4 Parameter Control) of the Control Window.
